Tour details The Treviso boroughs

Castelfranco Veneto is a beautiful and rich town in the Treviso province, a stronghold built in the Middle Ages to protect the borders from the Carraresi, lords of Padua with whom they competed for the territory. A territory still rich in other strongholds such as Cittadella, Bassano, Marostica, which in a few kilometers offer a sample of walled cities that are unique in Europe. Enchanting villages rise in the hills that precede the great mountains, pleasant hills where Prosecco is grown with great passion.

Travel programme

Check-in

Arrival at the hotel on Friday afternoon, in the evening the tour leader will contact you for a presentation of the tours and description of the routes.

Day 2 (Km 60)Castelfranco Asolo

These two marvellous towns are connected by a very nice cycle path, which will allow us to reach the foot of Asolo along the Muson river, always immersed in the green Treviso countryside.

Once we reach Asolo, it will be a pleasure to immerse ourselves in one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, with its castle, noble palaces where many famous people lived, bringing prestige to the town.
After a regenerating stop, we head along pleasant little roads surrounded by nature and Palladian villas towards Maser where we visit the 16th century Palladian Villa Barbaro before going to enjoy a refreshing Prosecco di Asolo DOCG in a local winery.

Day 3 (Km 68) Castelfranco Treviso

The second excursion takes us to Treviso, the regional capital and another walled city in the Veneto region. Treviso is a city on a human scale, we will reach it along the narrow streets immersed in the countryside, noteworthy is the Oasi di cervara in Santa cristina just before entering the city.
the return journey will be along the ostiglia cycle path, an old railway converted into a cycle path, along which you will find other Venetian villas such as Ca’ Marcello in Levada and Villa Cornaro, a Unesco heritage site in Piombino dese.
